Keynote Address - Carol Lowe

Carol P. Lowe joined Sealed Air as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in June 2012. In addition to overseeing all financial functions including external reporting, FP&A, treasury, tax, internal audit and shared services, Carol serves as a member of the Company’s Executive Committee.

Previously, Carol was President of Carlisle Food Service Products, a subsidiary of Carlisle Companies Incorporated, a global diversified manufacturing company, and through March 31, 2011, President of Trail King Industries Inc., a subsidiary of Carlisle. Carol served as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Carlisle from 2004 until November 2008 and its Treasurer from 2002 through 2004. Prior to joining Carlisle, Carol spent eight years at National Gypsum Company where she held various accounting and treasury positions including Treasurer. Preceding that, she spent seven years with Ernst & Young. Carol obtained her MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and her BS in Accounting at the University of North Carolina – Charlotte. Carol is a Certified Public Accountant.

Carol was named to the board of EMCOR Group, Inc. (NYSE: EME) in May 2017 and also serves as a member of the Audit Committee. Carol previously served as a member of the board of directors for Cytec Industries, Inc. (NYSE: CYT) from 2007 – 2016. Cytec was acquired by Solvay. She is also a board member of United Way of the Central Carolinas. Carol is a member of C200, Women Corporate Directors and the UNC Charlotte Board of Athletics.

Carol and her husband Tim have one son, Parker, and are proud natives of the greater Charlotte area.

Former Student-Athlete Speaker - Gina Allen Wilson, DNP, RN, FNP

Gina Allen Wilson is a former Charlotte 49ers softball player who currently serves as lead educator on the Making Every Baby Count Initiative in Ghana. She is one of four core leaders training midwives, physicians and nurses in regional hospitals on basic resuscitation of newborns, care of neonates during the neonatal period as well as infection prevention/control. She has trained 240 providers from four regional hospitals. She also provides instruction on appropriate interventions to address/prevent asphyxia and infection. Gina received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Duke University, her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from Duke University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she served as commencement speaker in 2010. Gina credits UNC Charlotte for much of her work stating, “I think UNC Charlotte is the foundation for my work in Africa. UNC Charlotte taught me how to be a nurse, and the importance of doing this work. I knew I wanted to help people when I came to Charlotte, and nursing was the perfect fit – to be the hands and feet that love and care for people” (UNC Charlotte News, March 2016).
